Homemade Nacho Chips
Ingredients
Corn tortillas (however many you want)
Salt
Canola oil
Pour oil into pan to about an inch deep of your pan. (The smaller the pan the less oil you will have to use but more batches.) Heat the oil on med heat. Oil should reach about 300°F.
Set up plate with paper towel.
Cut the tortillas in half and then each half in thirds.
Add the chip pieces to the oil. Make sure to not over crowd the pan.
Once the chips have stopped bubbling they are done.
Transfer chips to paper towel lined plate. Make sure to salt chips as soon as they come out of the oil so the salt sticks to the chips with the fresh oil still on them. This needs to be done fast because the oil disappears quick. Do the salt first before adding the next set of chips to your pan.
Enjoy! Serve with your favourite nacho chips dip or make your favourite nachos!
